For this task we were expected to demonstrate editing techniques such as match on action, cutaways, pace and observe rules of continuity. The story for our video was based around children going missing in a classroom, without the teacher noticing. For my video I used cutaways to show when people disappeared, as it made it look more shocking as the audience expected to see the students there again as it was a more natural shot. In addition when the teacher was talking, i used cutaways of the students to make it less boring and allowed the audience to have a better understanding of what was going on under the teachers nose. . I used non diegetic sounds to make the video seem more realistic. For example, i added a school bell before the class left to make it look like it was set in a real school and therefore makes it easier to understand.
